A worked Minnesota example

Add roughly $321 a month in property tax and $158 in insurance, and the full PITIA payment is about $2,314. The ratio is $2,350 divided by $2,314, or about 1.02, which clears the 1.0 floor, so it finances, with the cushion depending on the exact numbers.
